Celebrating the 150 years anniversary of poole pottery

In 1873, Jessie Carter purchased Carter & Company, the forerunner to Poole Pottery. 150 years later, Poole Pottery is an integral part of the manufacturing legacy that created jobs and made the Town of Poole wealthy and thriving.

Despite the closure of the original Poole Pottery site on Poole quay, the manufacture of Poole Pottery still continues in Stoke-on-Trent to this day.

Here at Studio Poole, (located in the new building built on the original site), we strive to commemorate the legacy of Poole Pottery on the quay.
